R2Scrime is an immersive image based collaboration and management system utilising MAXimt browser based applications and SpheronVR digital spherical cameras and associated technologies.
Developed in collaboration with the Grampian Police Forensics Department, R2Scrime has revolutionised the way data recorded on scene is captured, shared and managed, allowing secure, remote, multi-user, visual access to all location/scene data as it's collected or updated.
The system facilitates crime scene preservation, improves team collaboration, reduces duplication of effort, negates location visits/revisits and drastically reduces the time and effort required to familiarise and orientate team members, legal teams and jurors.
This system saves both time and effort and as a result, significantly reduces the costs associated with both solving serious crime and prosecuting those responsible.
CAPTIONS FOR INFOGRAPHIC
Capture full spherical (360° x 180°) HDR (high dynamic range) images in a single rotational pass with a maximum image resolution of 50 megapixels with 48-bit colour depth per pixel.
The system captures incident real-world luminosity over a dynamic range of 26 f-stops. Conventional exposures record reflected light and under or over exposed areas are rendered in shades of grey when manipulated to reveal hidden detail. Luminosity values retain accurate colour information and therefore reveal detail at either end of the dynamic range, in full colour as if captured under ideal, yet impossible lighting conditions.
It also provides demand loading of both image and streaming video data, ie. only loading the area of image/frames being viewed at a high resolution.
Process images on scene or transfer for batch processing.
Capture supporting data and evidence. This can include additional panoramic/full spherical images, HDR images, video clips, digital photographs, sequence digital photographs, sound, narrative, notes etc, interfacing with lan, intranet, extranet or internet based systems.
Embed hyper links to/from all supporting data/evidence.
Set up access and privileges for remote users and system administrators.
All of the above are available in real time or as near as processing times allow.
The Measurement Module allows for retrospective measurement within spherical images
The system continually audits and records client user actions. These include viewing, editing and the addition or deletion of any data.
It also features a non-destructive deletion system whereby deleted data can be reinstated if/when required.
Share, collaborate, manage – from home, work or remote location.
